Review: Godzilla: Cataclysm #2

Godzilla: Cataclysm #2 picks up from the previous issue as (for what we can see) Japan has been left in ruin and perhaps the entire world. The Kaiju in one great collective moment decimated humanity in the heat of their last great war, leaving the earth broken, desolate and nearly uninhabitable. The humans left eke out a scavenging existence , praying to the Kaiju to return in hopes of restoring nature to the blasted earth. It is herein that Bunn’s writing excels in the issue, questioning the idea of deities and the similarities the Kaiju have with God-hood (see page 3)
