Captain America and Starlord visit sick kids

It may have started as a Super Bowl but it ended in a day that the children of Seattle Children’s Hospital will remember forever. You see you don’t need a spaceship or a Super Solider Serum to be a super hero as Chris Evans and Chris Pratt prove with their visit.

Chris Pratt is a fan of the Seahawks whilst Chris Evens is a fan of the New England Patriots, they had a wager that the losing fan would have to visit a charity of the other’s choosing and despite winning the bet, Evens decided to visit the hospital anyway.

As you can see from the images released from the Hospital everyone involved had a great time and kids could not believe that they had Captain America and Starlord visiting them in real life. Many of the children there suffer from serious conditions such as fourteen year old Tyler Gower who was diagnosed with Leukaemia and is due to undergo a bone marrow transplant.

Both actors left behind signed action figures as a memento of the occasion and a signed Captain America shield signed with the words “To Tyler, Dream big!”. Later that day Evans also tweeted “AMAZING day @seattlechildren with @prattprattpratt. Met some TRUE super heroes. Feeling inspired, blessed, touched. Thank you with all my heart.”

Couldn’t have put it better myself Cap, it really is wonderful to see our A list celebrities taking inspiration from the characters they play on the big screen and truly making a difference to those who need it most.
