Now, let’s face it, chances are if you’re making a superhero film based on the works of Marvel you’re going to want to stick Stan “The Man” Lee in there somewhere. From giving our favourite masked heroes advice to chatting up the ladies on a different planet Stan Lee has made a cameo appearance in most films under the Marvel banner.
However true believers, are we to assume from a recent interview with Larry King that Stan could be bitter over not being offered a cameo role in the recently rebooted Fantastic Four movie?
Not only was he not offered a cameo, he wasn’t even consulted on the movies story at all and I’m sure he would’ve had a thing or two to say about how Doom looked!
Upon being asked why he felt the film was receiving negative reviews, Lee said “Well, it was probably because I didn’t have a cameo in it, and they didn’t discuss the story with me,” followed by. “I haven’t seen it yet, so I really can’t comment.”
We all know Stan is known for having a sense of humour so it wouldn’t come as a surprise that he’s joking, but his appearance in the movies has come to be somewhat expected by fans nowadays, especially when it’s a group of characters he created.
What do you think? Do you think Stan should’ve been given some screen time in Fantastic Four? Leave a comment below with your thoughts and what you would’ve liked to have seen of him in the movie.
