Kot’s references range from the more immediate to the very obscure referencing Klaus Kinski, Kurt Schwitter’s Merzbeau , Rumi and Hindu philosophy. Zero #11 taps more into the film almost visually referencing David Cronenberg in terms of the body horror or perhaps Ridley Scott in terms of the Alien homage experienced within the first few pages
Zero is an utterly lavish comic book, a true wonder of both graphic design and graphic storytelling. Focusing on a near anonymous spy- Agent Zero, this series chronicles his defection from the world of wet-works and espionage, with all the convoluted, gory details in-between.
Tooth and Claw #2 by Kurt Busiek (Astro City, Marvels), continues to slowly advance, but has yet to prove an engaging story.
