Despite the less-than-stellar finale, Gertrude’s new role as queen of Fairyland seemed to be setting up an exciting and different second arc.
I Hate Fairyland’s 5th issue marks the end of the series’s first story arc. The series has been pretty uneven. It seems that each month the quality alternates between “great” and “mediocre.” The finale of this arc was no exception.
While it takes place in a fairly unoriginal setting, it’s unconventional character’s and adult content make for a reading experience unlike any other.
