Fans of The Flash and of Brandon Routh’s fantastic portrayal of Ray Palmer on Arrow will be happy to hear that on April 14th (In the US) team flash will be getting visited by Ray Palmer for the first time and a 2nd visit by Felicity Smoak.
The CW released the official synopsis for the upcoming episode “All-Star Team Up” which along with Ray Palmer and Felicity Smoak’s visit will also feature The Walking Dead Alum Emily Kinney and 90’s The Flash actress Amanda Pays. the synopsis is below:
“Barry (Grant Gustin) is surprised when Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) arrives from Starling City along with her new boyfriend, Ray Palmer (guest star Brandon Routh), who flies in as the Atom. They’ve come to visit S.T.A.R. Labs as Ray needs help with his suit. Their timing turns out to be fortuitous because it’s all hands on deck after a meta human named Brie Larvin (guest star Emily Kinney) unleashes hundreds of robotic bees to attack and kill her former co-workers, including Dr. Tina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays). A group dinner with Barry, Felicity, Ray, Iris (Candice Patton) and Eddie (Rick Cosnett) turns into a disaster. Kevin Tancharoen directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & Kai Yu Wu.”
It is going to be a crowded episode with the introduction of both heroes and villains, it is also being directed by Mortal Combat: Legacy and Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D director Kevin Tancharoen, who happens to be Joss Whedon’s brother-in-law, not an indication of his talent, just a fun fact.
The episode looks to be a good one, frankly the happiness of Ray Palmer and Felicity Smoak will work much better than in the darker Arrow tone and we’re sure that the characters will both mix well with the S.T.A.R labs team. It will also be good to see Emily Kinney’s gender swapped Bug-eyed Bandit facing off against the superhero team up.
So what do you think the team up will be like, good or bad? Are you looking forward to seeing The Atom and The Flash working together against a new Supervillain? Let us know your thoughts below or on Facebook/Twitter.
