Mar-Vell’s Musings!

Good morning true believers, with the success coming out from Guardians of the Galaxy and people wondering if they will crossover with the Avengers, get real people, it’s a certainty! Stop wondering! It will happen! So with that out of my system, allow me to get back on topic, with Fox owning the movie rights to X-Men and Fantastic Four, will we ever have a crossover on the big screen?

This is something I think many comic fans would love to see, as two of the biggest franchises for Marvel being under the same roof you would imagine this would have been done before now, well I’m dumbstruck as to why it hasn’t happened yet. During the first two FF movies I thought it would creating a bigger world would have been the way to go. Adding in little snippets of information such as the existence of mutants or a news report of another attack by Magneto, just something to join the two titles on the big screen.

The perfect opportunity to do this would have been during the now classic, X-Men: Days of Future Past movie, as you know I’m a huge X-Men fan, in the comic of DoFP who happens to be in future timeline? Franklin-freaking-Richards! Come on Fox, the ball was well and truly dropped right here, the best chance for Fox to expand on their Marvel cinematic universe and they blew it.

In my opinion the best way would have been Wolverine to pick up the scent of someone with the remaining X-Men and to say something like “Why do you smell like Sue and Reed….”. It would have blown fans away more than the movie already did and helped to slowly build on their universe.

Does anyone else share my opinion that Fox failed to introduce characters from the Fantastic Four comics?
